Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a technical specialist responsible for operation, support, and continuous improvement of the on-premise cloud platform, including its infrastructure layer and hosted IS services used across ABB engineering and business environments.

You will ensure stable and compliant service delivery while supporting both local operations in Ostrava and global ABB services.

This position combines hands-on technical work, service operations, and coordination across teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operating, maintaining, and supporting the on-cloud platform (compute, storage, and infrastructure services)

• Ensuring service delivery in line with defined SLAs, performance targets, and ABB standards

• Participating in incident, problem, and change management, including root cause analysis and resolution

• Supporting deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of hosted IS solutions

• Monitoring infrastructure and ensuring availability and performance of services

• Contributing to continuous improvement of services, processes, and automation

• Ensuring compliance with internal standards, security policies, and audit requirements

Your background

• Experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or technical support role

• Broad knowledge across infrastructure domains, such as:

  • Virtualization – VMware, Azure

  • Networking fundamentals

  • Backup and recovery

  • Data storage and handling

• Familiarity with monitoring tools, automation and scripting

• Understanding of how infrastructure platforms support applications and services

• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in complex environments

• Structured and analytical approach

• Fluent English, both written and spoken
