In this role, you will build, organize, and manage a Czechia-based team of engineers focused on operating system upgrades. You will lead the team's work and delivery and you will be involved in technical designs, discussions, and prioritizations. You will also participate in creating team structure, in team performance reviews, and in coaching and mentoring associates. You will work closely with other Red Hat’s Linux engineering teams, open source communities, key partners, strategic customers, and product managers, while embracing Red Hat’s unique culture and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Lead and inspire a diverse group of individual contributors, fostering collaboration and driving innovative thinking.
Nurture and mentor team members in their career development and professional growth.
Promote a positive and fair work environment by fostering open communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring that all team members have the support they need to succeed.
Address critical issues by providing guidance, resolving problems promptly, and eliminating roadblocks to facilitate team progress.
Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to create technology roadmaps and schedules, and effectively communicate these plans both internally and externally.
Leadership experience with globally distributed engineering teams and/or software development projects
3+ years of substantial experience in software development
Basic proficiency with the Linux operating system
Strong customer-oriented mindset with a focus on understanding and addressing client needs.
Interest in driving customer infrastructure modernization
Knowledge of software development lifecycles and methodologies.
Experience with Agile development and/or devops.
Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders
Ability to lead and work with diverse and distributed teams from multiple countries and cultures.
Basic proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (such as Python) required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
