Project Manager — Pacific Risk Transformation Program

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Pacific Risk Transformation Program at Marsh Risk (a Marsh business). This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne (Pacific region). This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office and is initially a 12‑month full‑time contract.

Role overview

You will lead delivery of one or more streams within the Pacific Risk Transformation Program, translating program strategy into tangible outcomes. The role requires a professional project manager with financial‑services risk experience, strong stakeholder management skills and proficiency with project tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Planner. You will combine hands‑on project delivery, risk and issue management, resource optimisation and stakeholder engagement to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive stream plans (timelines, milestones, resourcing) aligned to program objectives.
  • Oversee milestone execution, monitor progress, and enforce schedule, budget and quality controls.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues; implement contingencies and escalate appropriately.
  • Optimise resource allocation and balance workloads across initiatives and teams.
  • Apply fit‑for‑purpose delivery methodologies and maintain transparent reporting and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to remove blockers and drive completion of deliverables.
  • Prepare clear metrics, status reports and executive updates for the Program Director and governance forums.
  • Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships across sponsors, business leads and delivery partners.

What you need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in business, project management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven delivery experience managing complex streams or multi‑project programs in financial services or related environments.
  • Strong track record in risk and issue management, resource planning and schedule/budget control.
  • Advanced communication skills and experience engaging senior leaders and program sponsors.

What makes you stand out:

  • Demonstrated success delivering transformation streams in large programs within financial services.
  • Experience operating effectively in a matrix organisation and influencing without formal authority.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into pragmatic, deliverable plans.

Why join our team:

  • High‑impact role with direct influence on program success and organisational risk outcomes.
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and opportunity to shape delivery approaches across multiple initiatives.
  • Professional development in program delivery, stakeholder influence and risk management.
  • Hybrid working and a collaborative team environment focused on practical outcomes.
