Are you ready to lead and innovate in the world of software development?
We are looking for an experienced Head of Software Development to join our team at Euronext Securities Shared Services, reporting directly to the Head of Software Factory. This position is based in Porto, with the possibility of frequent travels to other Euronext locations.

Your key responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

• Manage and coordinate software development teams.

• Provide technical support to development teams.

• Ensure project completion on time and according to quality standards.

• Collaborate with other departments for project integration.

• Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and improvements.

• Plan and manage resources to optimize efficiency and productivity.

• Keep technical knowledge up-to-date and promote continuous training.

• Validate design choices and development frameworks assigned to SW Principal.

• Implement improvements in software development processes.

• Introduce and oversee AI practices within the development workflow.

• Maintain business alignment according to company plans and objectives.

What we expect from you:

Skills and Experience:

• Approximately 7-10 years of total professional experience in software development/IT.

• Around 3-5 years of management experience specifically leading development teams.

• Goal-oriented mindset.

• Advanced technical skills in software development.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Deep knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, with proven ability to implement them.

• Exceptional problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication skills and predisposition to teamwork.

• Languages: Fluent in English.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in software development, particularly with Java stack.

• Familiarity with AI technologies and their integration into software development.

• Experience in process improvement and optimization.
