Job Description

    Essential Functions

    Employee development

    • Lead implementation of the overall regional plan for employee development processes with employees, coaches and BULT
    • Lead processes for ongoing Coach pairing for new hires, connect with 30-60-90 day plans
    • Facilitate associated training
    • Connect with regional leadership and regional resources on high potential employees and ensure development

    New hire onboarding

    • Ensure successful regional implementation of the national onboarding process and any specific regional needs
    • Facilitate 30/60/90-day check-in process with new regional employees and their coaches/manager(s)

    Project support

    • Lead the implementation of Building Great Teams and follow-up on outcomes across the region
    • Roles and responsibilities kick-off meetings within regional teams and/or regional functional group leads
    • Lessons learned meeting strategy and implementation plan

    Employee experience

    • Effectively leverage all available resources, both within and outside of the organization, to provide a best-in-class worker experience
    • Support employees and managers in difficult conversations, facilitate when appropriate
    • Provide 1:1 coaching of BU talent partners and/or others as assigned
    • Have a general understanding of what benefits are offered to point employees to the right resources for help.
    • Manage programs to recognize and appreciate admin and craft employees. Administer programs developed by regional or national resources.
    • Manage engagement and retention programs developed by regional or national resources

    Training and Development

    • Planning and facilitation of training for individual employees, peer groups and teams
    • Personality Assessment Facilitation (Enneagram, MBTI, DISC, StrengthFinders)
    • Other soft skills courses as needed (facilitation skills, effective meetings, difficult conversations, 5 choices)
    • People Practices Technologies including Workday, 360L

    Internal communications

    • Facilitate Town Halls, Quarterly Meetings, etc.
    • Ensure that all company communications are cascaded to the region
    • Partner with local C+B resources

    Connection

    • Create touchpoint strategy for all employees across the region and manage implementation
    • Participate in monthly peer group and work group meetings
    • Listen to and advocate for admin and craft employees
    • Connect regularly with Regional Leadership Team and regional resources

    Strategic people practices

    • National priorities and initiatives (approximately 20% of total time)
    • People practices business planning
    • Mental health programs for employees
    • Annual Open Enrollment events
    • Internal development programs for admin and craft employees
    • Regional admin and craft recruiting programs inclusive of job fairs, college recruiting coordination
    • EHS Leadership with initiatives and needs

    Partner

    • Coach and/or manager to the BU talent partners (admin and craft)
    • Partner with Regional Talent Leader and Regional Leadership Team on regional talent strategy and implementation plan.
    • Partner with other People Practices resources including HR, DEI, Talent Acquisition, L&D, People Practices Technology
    • Partner with Get Work, and Do Work Teams
    • Actively participate in regional and national Talent and People Practices meetings

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or related work experience in Operations, HR, Coaching, L&D, Customer Service
    • Minimum of 4+ years of experience (Operations, HR, Coaching, L&D, Customer Service, etc.)
    • Construction industry experience is a plus
    • Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus
    • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Travel is expected within the region to visit jobsites and offices.
