Job Description Summary:

Platform Compatibility Budapest team is providing different platform-related testing activities to ensure seamless usage of the radiation oncology products by the customer. As a Sr Platform Verification Engineer, you will be part of a versatile team and will work in collaboration with other talented teams to deliver industry-leading solutions in cancer care.


Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Support development and maintenance of Varian products, with a particular focus on compatibility with hardware and software platforms.

  • Participate and contribute to risk analyses, test strategies, and test plan creations and reviews.

  • Analyze and write test procedures that ensure systematic platform verification of radiation oncology products.

  • Create and update test reports, test summary reports and monitoring tools during test execution and at the end of test activities.

  • Manage and coordinate device verification activities to ensure that they meet design requirements for the platform combination under test.

  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders (e.g., Manufacturing, Product Management, Design Engineering, Testing Teams, etc.) to assess and evaluate platform changes including impacts on medical device.

  • Provide continuous feedback and implement improvements to the testing and modification of supported platform components.

  • Deploy and maintain test environments including documentation.

  • Actively share knowledge with colleagues.

  • Work as part of a global team and capability to travel globally (up to 5% of the time) to support Varian’s testing efforts.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

ESSENTIAL:

  • Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer engineering, biomedical engineering, physics or similar.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in software testing .

  • Experience in software testing for complex systems.

  • Experience in installation and troubleshooting of complex software systems.

  • Understanding of Windows platform and deployment models for both virtual and physical environments.

  • Understanding of computer hardware platforms (e.g., Dell servers and desktops).

  • Understanding of virtual computing platforms (e.g., VMWare, Citrix).

  • Independently solve complex business problem.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication (English).

  • Organized and goal-oriented with ability to prioritize workload.

  • Service mindset with ability to collaborate effectively across a global organization.

  • Knowledge and interest in modern software testing.

  • Understanding and experience of test automation processes.
