What You Will Do

As a Manager of IT Engineering supporting Logistics, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling the systems that power our transportation networks and global logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Partner with stakeholders across Logistics and IT to define and deliver impactful solutions
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in cloud-based custom solutions and leading industry SaaS platforms

Technical Delivery

• Own the end-to-end technical delivery of complex Epics or technical components of larger initiatives that span multiple product teams or domains
• Develop and maintain an engineering roadmap aligned with product roadmaps, business strategies, and architectural standards
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, security, and performance optimization
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, automation, and agile delivery

Team Development

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and data professionals
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Identify skill gaps and create personalized development plans
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
• Facilitate access to training, certifications, and cross-functional learning opportunities
• Support succession planning and internal mobility by developing future leaders

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in people management
• Supply Chain or Logistics experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle, including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, agile methodologies, and product team structures
• Proven champion of DevSecOps and modern engineering practices
• Demonstrated success in meeting business objectives and delivering technology solutions
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams focused on product and engineering excellence
• Strong experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and public cloud platforms
• Ability to support a DevOps mindset across modernized and legacy systems
• Executive presence with excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
