Job Description / Summary

Responsible for coordinating and directing day to day project activities, supervising the work of others on project tasks, and aiding in the development new project proposals. Performs applied research across a broad spectrum of activities including development and application of environmental models, performance of field studies, and analysis of environmental data. Prepares and publishes project reports, conference papers, educational brochures and peer reviewed journal articles. This is an in-office position located in Stephenville, Texas with normal work hours of Monday to Friday; from 8am to 5pm or as work requirements indicate. This position requires a flexible work schedule, which at times will require frequent attendance during evenings and weekends with occasional travel.

Responsibilities:


55% Modification and application of water quality / hydrodynamic models

10% Perform field monitoring efforts

15% Statistical analysis of field and modeling data

15% Preparation of reports, papers, and publications at meetings and scientific conferences

5% Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

Required: Ph.D. in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience  Environmental Science, Engineering or related field

Experience:

Required: Six years of related experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advance research skills and technical expertise.

Ability to simulate and develop environmental and environmental models.  

Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data and perform other computer related tasks

Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
