We are seeking a commercially astute Portfolio Manager to assume full ownership of operational performance across a defined aerospace product portfolio at our Moog Aircraft Control Components site in Tewkesbury. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role with end-to-end accountability for quality, cost, delivery, safety and resource alignment within a precision, multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment.
Operating at the centre of Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations, you will drive SIOP execution, stabilise flow, mitigate risk and protect customer commitments without compromise. If you are ready to lead from the front and own performance end-to-end, we want to hear from you.

You will own:
Operational performance across your portfolio — quality, cost, delivery, labour efficiency and schedule adherence
SIOP execution and capacity planning, ensuring demand and capability remain aligned
Cross-functional coordination, resolving systemic constraints at pace
Operational risk management, including regulatory and customer compliance (EASA/FAA)
Continuous improvement deployment, embedding LEAN disciplines across the portfolio
Cost and productivity performance, including labour control, scrap reduction and utilisation
Leadership and development of Shift Supervisors and Cell Leaders
This is not a coordination role — it is an ownership role. You are accountable for outcomes.
What You’ll Be Measured On
On-time delivery and schedule adherence
Yield, productivity and labour performance
Inventory stability and machine utilisation
Closure of quality escapes and corrective actions
Execution of portfolio CI roadmap
Safe systems of work and operational risk reduction
Essential Experience & Skills
5–10 years’ experience in operations or manufacturing leadership
Background in precision engineering or complex assembly environments
Strong SIOP, capacity planning and resource optimisation capability
Proven LEAN practitioner (5S, SMED, TPM, Kaizen, structured problem solving)
Experience leading multi-layer teams (Supervisors, Cell Leaders, cross-functional partners)
Degree in Engineering or Operations (desirable)
Commercially aware, data-driven and outcome-focused
What We Offer
Flexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression
33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
Private medical insurance, mental health support and financial advice
Generous life assurance and company pension contribution (from 6%)
Employee share options, free onsite parking, EV charging and 24/7 gym facilities
Be part of a high-performing, collaborative team shaping operational excellence in aerospace. Lead meaningful change, mentor future leaders, and advance your expertise in lean operations.
