2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern – Job Posting

Department Title: Undergrad Intern – Data Production & Document Management

Start Date: All interns must start in office and in person on June 8, 2026.

Anticipated End Date: August 14, 2026 – All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment. Interns must be located in the same location throughout the duration of their internship and are prohibited from returning laptop/equipment to a different office location or shipping their equipment back.

Position Summary: 

The Mail & Document Processing team is responsible for maintaining and safeguarding documentation across all company offices. Our work supports nearly every department and includes essential services such as mail processing, document digitization, and archival management. The team also provides specialized operational support, including check printing and mailing for the Cash Settlements group.

This is an especially dynamic time to join the Mail & Document Processing team. The company is actively reviewing the check‑printing process as part of a broader effort to reduce reliance on physical checks, which carry a higher risk of errors and fraud.

The internship will center on evaluating the current check‑printing workflow and related materials to help design a more secure, efficient process that strengthens the client experience. As part of this initiative, the intern will also partner with the Marketing team to develop client‑facing communications aimed at promoting the transition to more secure and efficient ACH payment methods.

Key Responsibilities Can Include:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the current check‑printing workflow to identify and document opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements across batching, printing, attachment management, and mailing.
  • Identify root causes of attachment mis-sequencing and design targeted controls to prevent recurrence.
  • Review all existing documents that accompany check payments to determine what is required, optional, or redundant.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to craft a clear, compelling communication that highlights the increased efficiency and enhanced security of ACH payments, encouraging clients to transition to this payment method.
  • Develop an easy way for clients to provide ACH information

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to multi‑department initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and workflow analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing documents, processes, or sequencing workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 37.5 (dependent on state/location) hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $24 (dependent on location and function) USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
