About Position 

The candidate takes responsibilities on Privacy at Paidy and liaises with PayPal Privacy team single handedly.

Key Role and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain internal policies and procedures about Privacy and Acceptable Use Policy
• Create and maintain Privacy Statement, Terms and Agreement etc.about Privacy for external parties
• Review and maintain Data Sharing Agreement with external parties including merchants and vendors.
• Review and maintain Risk Assessment of Data Privacy upon requests of external parties including merchants and vendors.
• Maintain Data Privacy Inventory.
• Conduct self assessments to see if required controls are in place in line with CBPR and JIS K 15001 .
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessment for① Newly acquired personal information ② When complaints or opinions are received from inside or outside the company, or deficiencies in countermeasures are recognized ③ The system for handling personal information is changed ④ Personal information is newly entrusted ⑤ New products and Significant changes to existing products ⑥Provide personal data to foreign countries for outsourcing, merchant contract etc. ⑦Other changes to laws, guidelines, etc. deemed necessary by Legal & Compliance.
• Conduct Annual Risk Assessment for Privacy
• Review and maintain regulatory requirements and take actions to cope with the changes.
• Conduct onboarding training and annual mandatory trainings for Privacy and general compliance
• Conduct management review with CEO
• Renew Privacy Mark and CBPR certifications.
• Attend Privacy and Security review internal meetings including PCI DSS
• Attend weekly Data Privacy Review meetings with PayPal
• Report all events including incident, project status etc.to monthly Compliance meeting chaired by PayPal APEC COO
• Conduct review of variety of Privacy and Data related requests via JIRA and JOBCAN Data sharing with external parties, vendor onboarding etc.

Skills and Requirements

Must

• Ability to communicate all internal and external parties including regulators, business partners, merchants   both in Japanese and English
• Ability to provide legal advice about Privacy to internal business stakeholders
• Ability to understand AWS platform and info security and communicate with internal engineers in English
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in Privacy
• Native-level Japanese

Nice to have

• Work experience in Privacy Mark, CBPR and PCI DSS
