We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Distribution Manager in Denver, CO.

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary:

  • This Distribution Manager serves as a front line leader with majority of time spent on the floor, providing direct guidance and supervision to hourly associates in the receipt, processing, packaging, storage, order filling and shipment of parts to Caterpillar dealers, Distribution Centers and Regional Distribution Centers to support the end users of Caterpillar equipment. 

Additional Info:

  • This role is located in Denver, CO and does not offer relocation
  • This role is 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic travel

What You Will Do:

  • Contributing to the development of an effective work force by engaging and mentoring employees to follow all established work processes and established safe job procedures. Maintaining high employee morale by ensuring established work standards are delivered.
  • Provides training or counseling to correct any unsafe behavior observed by those who do not follow set work standards. Leading teams working on problem resolution and process improvement.
  • Ensuring parts inventory is received, processed and stored in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
  • Responding to dealer calls and making immediate decisions to resolve the issue 
  • Improving productivity and quality by taking ownership of the process.
  • Conducts daily safety meetings to ensure that employees have the proper equipment to perform their jobs safely.
  • Flexibility to work rotating after hour calls on the weekend.  
  • Preparing and maintaining necessary paperwork for hourly payroll and attendance records 

What You Have (Required Skills):

  • Warehouse Management: Ensuring the team works safely and follows standard work. Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers
  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
  • Coaching Others: Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.
  • Prior experience in at least one of the following: operations, transportation, logistics planning/engineering, purchasing, parts ordering and/or inventory management 

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Engineering or other related field

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a 1 million square foot facility with 3 value streams focusing on inbound, outbound, IPC (Inbound Processing Center), and supporting 6 dealers in the West region!

Summary Pay Range:

$71,040.00 - $106,440.00
