The Senior Client Management Services Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and ongoing operation of modern client device management solutions within the global end-user computing environment of TD SYNNEX.
This role focuses on Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM), Azure AD / Entra ID, and modern Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android management practices. The engineer will take a lead role in cloud-first endpoint management, security posture enforcement, automation, and software lifecycle management.
This role will:
Take the lead in managing software application deployment, configuration, and lifecycle using Microsoft Intune, Win32 app deployment, and Microsoft Store integrations.
Administer, monitor, and optimise the global Intune and Azure endpoint management environment, ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards.
Design, develop, test, and maintain Windows Autopilot, device provisioning profiles, compliance policies, and configuration profiles for all supported device platforms.
Optimise device configuration, application delivery, performance, and user experience through scripting, automation (PowerShell), policy design, and analytics.
Manage software lifecycle management, including application versioning, updates, patching strategies, and retirement of legacy applications.
Provide 3rd level support to Field Service Engineering teams and internal colleagues for complex device, enrolment, policy, and application issues.
This is a senior engineering role where technical leadership, solution ownership, and contribution to strategic initiatives are expected. Strong communication, coordination, and deep technical expertise are essential.
Take a leading role in managing the operation of the global Intune / Azure endpoint management infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, compliant, up to date, and aligned with Microsoft best practices.
This includes application packaging, policy design, device compliance, conditional access alignment, and Autopilot provisioning.
The role may also include leading initiatives to onboard new organizations, migrate legacy management solutions, and remediate non-compliant environments. (30%)
Develop, test, maintain, and support automation and in-house tooling to improve endpoint management processes, including PowerShell scripting, Visual Studio .NET-based tools, Graph API usage, reporting, and dashboard creation. (35%)
Provide 3rd level escalation support to Field Service Engineers and business colleagues, resolving complex endpoint, enrolment, policy, application, and identity-related issues. (25%)
Create and maintain technical documentation, device standards, configuration baselines, asset inventories, and operational procedures. (5%)
Actively seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and skills, particularly around Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure, security, and modern workplace technologies. (5%)
5–8 years of relevant experience in endpoint management, systems engineering, or modern workplace environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
Microsoft certifications such as:
MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator)
Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator
ITIL Foundation
Strong working knowledge of TD SYNNEX enterprise applications (preferred)
Strong experience with:
Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM)
Azure AD / Entra ID
Windows Autopilot
Compliance policies, configuration profiles, and Conditional Access
Win32 application packaging and deployment
PowerShell scripting and automation
Microsoft Graph API
Visual Studio .NET (C#/.NET) for tool development, automation, and integration
Experience managing Windows 10/11 enterprise environments; macOS, iOS, and Android management is a plus.
Familiarity with endpoint security concepts including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, device compliance, and Zero Trust principles.
