The EMEA Nike Stores Retail Operations & Services team is part of the Nike Direct Stores organization and brings together key functions to deliver the Nike Fundamentals needed for stores. It is a team composed of Athlete Service & Training, Stores Services, Fleet Activation, Store Standards & Process, and Labor Optimization.

The Store Standards and Process team (formerly known as the Store Operations team), is critical as we look to master retail fundamentals in the Nike Stores organization, leveraging current investments and driving value through focus on retail basics, and delivering on our goal of delivering world class retail focused on profitability and distinction.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Store Standards & Process to lead the implementation of retail standards, process excellence, and operational initiatives for Nike Stores across EMEA. This role is crucial in ensuring that global standards and best practices are effectively localized and embedded across all stores, driving consistency and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in retail operations, and a deep understanding of process management within EMEA. They must also have the ability to collaborate across teams (globally, cross-functionally within EMEA) and to align and engage the field teams, ensuring alignment and execution of our strategic objectives enabling us to deliver profitability and Nike Fundamentals.

The leader of this team should maintain a sharp focus on stores' operational performance – leading the team as well as field team to measure and track store operational excellence and performance, opportunities and gaps to be addressed, and progress against key KPIs as efforts are implemented.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Senior Manager, Store Standards & Process leads our Geo and Territory teams to ensure our fleet of stores is enabled to execute with excellence to deliver Nike’s brand, service, productivity and profitability standards. The below points would be your main focus;

  • In collaboration with the Global Team, this role will create the future in store operations and inventory operational processes. Your team will drive continuous improvement to achieve Operational Excellence. Additionally, your team will ensure new/remodeled stores are optimized for Athlete experience, efficiency and productivity.

  • Be responsible for defining and executing the strategy and roadmap for store standards and processes in close partnership and collaboration with the Global Retail Operations team.

  • Develop, launch, and embed Swoosh Standards and best practices across the EMEA store fleet, ensuring that all operational guidelines are delivered and implemented consistently. You will

  • Track and improve key operational deliverables, leading a multi-year journey towards mastering the fundamentals of retail operations.

  • Work closely with the EMEA Retail Stores Leadership Team to ensure clarity, visibility, and alignment on key implementation needs, while driving improvements in store performance through process excellence.

  • Finally, you will focus on Stores performance improvement - utilizing deep knowledge of operational best practices to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading initiatives to close these gaps and improve store performance across EMEA.

This role is essential in driving the operational excellence of Nike stores in the EMEA region, ensuring that global standards are effectively localized and implemented to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences. In addition to leading the Store Standards & Process team, you will be a crucial subject matter expert in key Nike, Nike Direct, and Nike Direct Stores initiatives including Activate Consumer Excellence (ACE) (focused on optimizing store product flow* to drive an elevated, frictionless consumer experience across the Nike Marketplace) and SEC (our Nike SAP upgrade in EMEA).

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be playing an integral role for EMEA Stores, directly managing a team of seven talented individuals (three leads and four specialists) focused on Stores Standards and Process. You will be reporting to Senior Director, Nike Store Retail Operations & Services.

This role acts as a bridge between Global stores and internal EMEA geo and territory teams.

Your partnerships will be with the business, Supply Chain, Nike Tech, Design, Global Store Operations, Marketing as well as Demand and Supply Management (DSM) to ensure smooth execution of our brand and season initiatives.

Additionally, you collaborate closely with the EMEA Retail Stores Leadership Team and the Global Nike Stores team to ensure effective communication and alignment on strategic initiatives. Your ability to navigate the complex matrix and work effectively across EMEA and in partnership with global Store Operations will be essential to your success in this role.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience and expertise leading retail operations, defining and delivering process efficiency, and standardization across complex networks

  • Experience leading a large and diverse team with collaboration of cross-functional teams to managing complex processes and programs and deliver needed business outcomes

  • Ability to elevate and innovate team ways of working and thought leadership shifting to proactive end to end capability ownership and integration of processes and tools into simplified, streamlined, and efficiency driving standards and processes

  • Proven experience in implementing global standards and processes within a retail environment, preferably in a multi-country geography, supporting change and transition for stores

  • Strong program and process management skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple locations and drive change and adoption among stakeholders and end recipients

  • Deep knowledge of store operations best practices (front of house and back of house), tools (i.e. POS, Commerce, Inventory, etc.), process, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and senior leadership engagement. Track record of effective collaboration across teams with global, across functions in geo, and with field teams

  • Analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Familiarity with the EMEA retail landscape and its unique operational challenges.
