Core Responsibilities:

The Category experience team comprises business intelligence and digital consulting professionals with expertise in the domain of e-commerce/online retail focused on customer analytics and insights. The team uses the power of data analytics and industry research to ensure supreme customer experience on Lowes.com,  which is one of the most crucial levers in driving online revenue growth.

As an Analyst in the Digital Category Optimization team, your daily activities will include:

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor AOP attainment daily, identify gaps, and proactively address potential misses.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track and report gaps in pacing, AOV, and conversion; conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) on weekly performance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure transparent and clear communication with all stakeholders regarding timelines and outputs.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Action Plans: Understand the e-commerce business at a category level, analyze customer data (onsite behavior, product preferences, qualitative feedback etc.), and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. Create and implement action plans to address identified opportunities.
  • Market Study & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market studies to understand best industry practices, enhancing digital customer experiences.
  • Hands-On Data Analysis: Aggregate data from various sources, derive insights and recommendations to support short-term and long-term category strategies.
  • Proficiency in Analytic tools: Use tools like Adobe Analytics and Medallia to derive business insights; support ad-hoc data analysis requests.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively within a large global team and partner across functions to support enterprise-level initiatives
  • Project Ownership: Take full ownership of projects, from initial analysis to final implementation, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in processes, driving efficiency.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Degree

Skill Set Required

  • Proficiency in one or more: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SQL, Power BI
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Background in analytics and statistics. Strong ability to analyze data, draw insights, and translate them into business recommendations
  • Understanding of online merchandising, marketing, and selling principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across different functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for AB testing, design test parameters, and request implementation to optimize website performance.
  • Proficiency in conducting cohort analysis to understand customer behavior patterns over time.
  • Develop and implement strategies to re-engage customers, enhance customer retention, increase Average Order Value (AOV), share of customer spending at Lowe's.
