Department Overview

The Bid & Quote Analyst will work closely with the Motorola Australia Sales Account teams, Professional Services, General Managers and Finance.


Job Description

  • Preparation of Bid P & Ls for proposals, tenders and contracts

  • Maintain product cost databases

  • Update and maintain Price lists and ensure they are accurate and issued on a timely basis

  • Ensure compliance with approval and authorization policies.

  • Participate in and lead the bid scrubs process and documenting all approvals

  • Ensure that pricing and gross margin information is kept confidential and distributed only in accordance with policy

  • Comply with Motorola Quality policies and practices.


Basic Requirements

GENERAL EDUCATION:

Must have:        Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Business related degree

Desirable:        Member of a recognized professional accounting body

EXPERIENCE:

  • Analyst or accounting/finance experience, multinational experience in a corporate accounting environment (3 years +)

  • Highly computer literate - particularly spreadsheets.


PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Good communications skills both written and verbal to explain complex information to all levels of staff and Customers

  • Sound planning capability and personal organisation skills

  • Capable of working through commercial issues and recommend course of action

  • Well developed interpersonal, teamwork and conflict resolution skills

  • Self motivated
