The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. Helping the Business to achieve its objectives by providing expertise in:
• Recruitment; Reward & Benefits; Learning & Development; Employee Relations; International Assignment Management; Performance Management and Efficient HR Administration.
The Global Benefits Center of Excellence is responsible for:
• supporting and advising the business on benefits related matters both on an individual employee and a broader entity / regional perspective; and
• reviewing and monitoring benefit related regulation developments and ensuring MUFG's policies and procedures are in place and compliant with the respective regulations.
In undertaking the above, we support and advise MUFG Management, at a branch, regional and global level to enable internal and external obligations to be met.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Provide support on Benefits matters to the business, HR function and Benefits team. Assist with delivering the agreed Benefits processes across the US region in order to contribute to the creation of a successful high-performance culture and establishing MUFG as an employer of choice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely and collaboratively with the AskHR team and Payroll team to ensure smooth running of the Benefits plans and improve processes where possible.
Additional duties as required to support the Benefits AVP and Head of Benefits in various HR projects, providing Benefits input to business requirements and operational readiness identifying opportunities to improve working practices
Produce monthly and annual reports including but not limited to utilization rates of benefits after the annual renewal, tracking and analysing trends of wellbeing data.
Providing support for the annual benefits enrollment including testing of benefits platform.
First point of contact for any queries that are escalated by the AskHR team
Completing monthly reconciliations between data from the benefits platform and the benefits data on the payroll platform. Working with the Payroll team to investigate and document any discrepancies.
Support with drafting and issuing employee communications (emails, intranet pages, benefits platform, benefits fair, wellbeing events).
Investigate issues with data feeds to and from Workday, investigating and resolving issues, recommending changes to process where necessary and avoiding legislative breaches.
Execute tasks to maintain regulatory compliance within the plans, including coordination of required communications.
Answer queries from the Payroll team, mainly around clarification on monies coming into the business for employees on Group Income Protection and general queries/requests.
Support and operationalize new benefit offerings including the onboarding and setup, as well as supporting the Benefits AVP in communication logistics
Implements annual enrollment following the determined project plans and timelines
Support the multiple MUFG benefit plans including but not limited to documenting and processing invoices.
Serves as a point of contact for vendors to escalate participant specific inquiries.
Coach managers and employees to use Tier 0 tools where available, and educate on location of benefits platform, user guides and other self-service tools.
Responsible for the document management processes within Benefits Team, ensuring that all required documentation is filed/scanned accordingly to employee personnel records and archiving
Providing specialist benefits administrative support to team when required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Previous HR Benefits Operations experience, preferably in financial services.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $74,000 - $94,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
