Senior Database Administrator (Oracle + SQL)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing high-performance Oracle databases in a complex, dynamic environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Database Administration:

    - Design, implement, and manage Oracle databases (12c, 19c, 21c) in RAC, ASM, and single-instance environments.

    - Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations.

    - Ensure database performance optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting.

1. Backup and Recovery:

    - Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, NetBackup, CommVault, or equivalent.

    - Perform regular backups, data archiving, and disaster recovery drills.

1. Security and Compliance:

    - Implement and enforce database security policies, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    - Manage user access, privileges, and roles.

1. Automation and Scripting:

    - Develop scripts (Shell, PowerShell, Python) for automation of routine tasks, monitoring, and reporting.

    - Automate database tasks, such as backups, patching, and performance monitoring.

1. Troubleshooting and Support:

    - Troubleshoot complex database issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

    - Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Oracle Database: 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, and 21c.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and related tools (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS).
• RAC and ASM: Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
• Backup and Recovery: Experience with RMAN, NetBackup, CommVault, or equivalent backup tools.
• Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Performance Tuning: Strong understanding of database performance optimization and tuning.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
