Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in support of our programs, in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the IBCS network applications team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience developing software using C++
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience configuring InterMapper network monitoring software
  • Working knowledge of Linux commands and bash scripting
  • Strong background in network applications
  • Experience with hardware & software integration
  • Willingness to develop documentation
  • Security+ certification

Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
