About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a Tender Manager to be based out of our Maidenhead office. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating internal and external procedures to drive the tender process. You will play a pivotal role in winning tender business and supporting the commercial team's sales process to secure new and existing business. A key part of this role is to project manage all tender opportunities and provide comprehensive training and support to the team.
What You’ll Do:
Apply highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in contract, bid, and proposal management and negotiation.
Lead, manage, and train the tender team.
Lead tender processes and support the commercial team in managing all sales activities.
Search and identify all opportunities, including frameworks and tenders.
Deliver structured training to internal teams to build organizational competence and knowledge.
Work with the marketing team to provide data for future product development and competitive insights.
Continuously improve commercial functions and formulate strategic solutions for pan-pathology tenders, which involve multiple third parties that supplement Abbott’s offerings and meet customers' technical, contractual, and financial specifications.
Manage third parties and work closely with the contracts team to ensure all projects are delivered and executed to meet customer expectations
Education and Experience You’ll Bring:
Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in economics or a business-related discipline.
Proven experience managing tenders, ideally in the diagnostics industry or with similar complexity.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with commercial experience and demonstrated success.
Deep level of expertise in laboratory medicine.
Collaborative and enterprising thinker.
Tenacious, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and influential skills.
