Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Support Analyst to provide advanced accounting and operational support. This role is responsible for resolving complex accounting inquiries, managing escalations, coordination with vendors and supporting pre-and post-conversation activities. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, technical accounting expertise, high attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service and support via phone, instant messaging and email. 
  • Assist and lead in accounting support ticket escalations, requests, problems or major incidents and maintain proactive and continuous communication according to procedures. 
  • Triage tickets through the ServiceNow ticket management system, including daily, weekly and monthly recurring tasks. 
  • Respond to and resolve accounting questions and tasks for transaction views, disbursements, receipts, automations, MJE’s and general support. 
  • Support multiple Applied Epic environments and databases.  
  • Provide support for pre- and post-conversion deployments and participate in annual upgrades and periodic maintenance updates, including workflow development and training. 
  • Collaborate with and assist other teams, including accounting integration, automation and platform teams. 
  • Act as a single point of contact with vendor support for accounting issues, script requests, errors and timeout resolutions.  
  • Research and answer technical questions related to Accounting or Billing. 
  • Assist with developing and maintain training and Help Desk support materials.  
  • Run and distribute scheduled reports and assist with accounting reports modification requests. 
  • Stay current and knowledgeable about system updates to supported applications and participate in testing and documentation for upgrades. 
  • Deliver regular updates on issue progress/resolution to management.

Requirements:

  • Strong accounting experience with Applied Epic insurance (AMS) software (Saas). 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy. 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication; present well over the telephone. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex issues independently. 
  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed customer expectations. 
  • Ability to use discretion with sensitive information. 
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of confidence. 
  • This position will occasionally work on Saturdays to support upgrades, conversions or tasks until completion.  
  • Evening, weekend, or non-regular hours required. 
  • Ability to travel, limited to 1-4 times annually. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent application management experience. 
  • Five years minimum insurance agency accounting experience required. 
  • Insurance industry experience preferred. 
  • Applied Epic operational support troubleshooting experience a preferred.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Competent with collaboration tools such as Monday.com, WebEx, Zoom, or Teams 
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and updates in supported applications. 

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
