Join us as a Financial Control Vice President

  • Joining our forward-looking International Hubs Cost team, you’ll support the organisation in the delivery of end-to-end financial control activity through the preparation and management of accounts, reconciliation schedules, and other supporting documentation
  • We’ll look to you to review and challenge our monthly profit and loss, liaising with the function or franchise to analyse, understand, and interpret the results
  • You’ll be responsible for the delivery and integrity of monthly financial information and closure of monthly activities for the legal entity, working closely with Cost Product Control team members

What you'll do

As a Financial Control Vice President, you’ll be accountable for the delivery and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information, including the balance sheet, profit and loss account, and internal and external reporting. You’ll also prepare statutory accounts for your business area’s legal entities, management accounts, and intercompany analysis, as well as assist in the delivery of budgeting and forecasting.

You’ll drive strategic developments including the scoping of all enhancements, securing funding and delivering all initiatives. You’ll also identify and track systemic issues and drive the resolution of root cause, identifying and driving opportunities for the streamlining of processes.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Control the financial ledger through policy setting, control, and risk and systems frameworks
  • Make sure that all financial transactions are appropriately recorded and substantiated to reflect the true and fair position as per our policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Set control frameworks and governance frameworks to ensure alignment with our strategy
  • Work closely with key onshore and offshore stakeholders and act as a key partner as you proactively contribute to decision making on complex or specialist issues, demonstrating judgement and a thorough understanding of the business
  • Prepare VAT and corporation tax returns and deliver legal entity annual accounts and audit in compliance with local regulations

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll hold an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in financial control, preferably gained within financial services. You’ll have worked in a global context and will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders in a changing environment. You’ll also hold a professional accounting qualification or have significant relevant experience in place of this.

As well as this, we’ll look to you to bring:

  • Knowledge of Swiss GAAP and experience of leading the delivery of core financial control and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, and statutory reporting
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and customers across organisations and geographical boundaries, influencing and challenging as required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
  • A demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement activity
  • Up-to-date understanding and knowledge of the drivers of business performance
  • An astute eye for detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
