Business Support Analyst (Costa Rica GBS)

Huntsman is seeking a Business Support Analyst supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica (GBS Site). This position will report to the Customer Service Team Lead.

Job Scope

The Business Support Analyst is a pivotal partner to Customers, Customer Service, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality transactional and business services across customer service and commercial operations.

This role is accountable for meeting agreed performance, cost, and timeliness targets across all business units and sites, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in global processes and outcomes. The position requires a professional who is passionate about exceptional customer support, skilled in problem-solving, and confident in making sound decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

In summary, as the Business Support Analyst, you will:

  • Assist the ADMAT Commercial Organization with customer notifications and communications, maintaining records in a centralized location.

  • Provide phone coverage for incoming external inquiries and direct them to the appropriate ADMAT associate.

  • Enter pricing records into the pricing database as directed by Sales Representatives on a daily basis, including year-end mass changes.

  • Manage EH&S inquiries from internal and external customers by logging them into the designated database and following through to completion.

  • Fulfill SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and TDS (Technical Data Sheet) requests.

  • Set up new customers by liaising directly to collect required documentation, creating customer records in master data, coordinating internal setup, and tracking progress via SharePoint.

  • Maintain commercial master data as directed by Sales Managers.

  • Capture leads and inquiries received via phone or email in the C4C platform and assign them to the appropriate Sales or Technical Representative.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to established processes and quality standards, provide clear feedback and guidance to support team development, and address operational questions.

  • Support projects as assigned by Team Leads or Sales Managers.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.


Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.

Minimum Qualifications

Education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience in Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Logistics and Supply Chain, or Inside Sales roles.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Experience required:

  • Experience with SAP Sales module or another ERP system.

  • Experience with order management systems and quality assurance practices.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data handling and reporting.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge the status quo.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills for clear and effective interaction with stakeholders via email and phone.

  • Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish.

  • Strong typing ability and accurate data entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chemical industry or similar industry experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge (certification is nice to have but not required).

Working Environment

  • Office-based environment within the GBS Site in San Jose, Costa Rica.

  • Role involves frequent computer use, phone communication, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced setting.
