Shift: Monday - Friday 5am - 1:30pm plus mandatory overtime as necessary

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining an accurate warehouse inventory count, researching receiving & shipping discrepancies, checking product recall and expired products, receiving customer returns, and putting away of returns, proof of deliveries, manufacturer returns, unit of measure research, working directly with purchasing, accounts payable, customer service, accounts receivable, sales force and warehouse.

Core Responsibilities

Tools/Equipment

  • Proficient using RF/Voice Pick/Visual Pick technology to perform tasks.

  • Proficient using manual and motorized Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.)

Receiving - Incoming/Outgoing

  • Counts or verify freight for accuracy and/or damage/infestation and perform needed OS&D related tasks.

  • Checks, receives, breaks down, and separates incoming customer returns. Review condition, expiration date range, and recall status. Restock saleable product and take appropriate action on product that is not in saleable condition and communicate all outcomes with Customer Service

  • Assembles, packs and ships manufacturer and/or vendor returns, initiates debit memos.

Inventory

  • Perform cycle counts and BIN verification activities.

  • Perform customer service and purchasing initiated cycle counts (customer shipments, vendor receipts) and respond accordingly.

  • Maintains accurate inventory locations and moves inventory locations as required.

  • Manage product to avoid instances of damage or expiration. As necessary, determine appropriate disposition of inventory, including any avenues for recoup of cost of goods.

  • Establish, maintain, and execute the warehouse optimization program, slotting, which ensures that product is available in the most operationally efficient warehouse locations Investigation/Analysis

  • Research inventory discrepancies, customer service errors (pick errors, over ships, etc.), account payable discrepancies and Unit of Measures errors.

  • Research PODs of shipments and freight bills for errors

  • Performs work on pick and put away discrepancies report.

  • Support product recall/vendor return process through physical identification and segregation of product.

  • Review and analyze weekly sync report to determine error causes.

  • Run and review daily CSW and OMNI reports (sync, etc.) to determine root cause.

  • Ensures on‐going integrity of high risk sku cycle count execution, frequency, and results review.

Audits/Physical Inventory

  • Coordinates audit activities specific to on‐site observation.

  • Coordinate all physical inventory warehouse preparation and cut off activities as required by PI instruction documentation. Manage system requirements and control desk activities, running of valuation reports, reconciliation of final count variances, and all other reconciliation requirements.

General

  • Can operates equipment as high as 35 feet in the air.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.

  • Count and perform basic math calculations.

  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.

  • Perform additional duties as directed.

Qualifyinig Experience

  • General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.) Equal to a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center a plus.

  • One to three years of inventory control experience required.

  • Warehouse/Operations certification a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form

  • Ability to work in a fast‐paced, team environment and meet performance standards/individual performance goals

  • Good attention to detail

  • Dependable and able to report to work as scheduled/have regular punctual attendance

  • Willingness to learn how to use new material handling equipment

  • Willingness to learn WMS Technology

  • Ability to adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures for safety rules and requirements received in training

  • General PC knowledge with an ability to use spreadsheet, word processing and graphics presentation software

  • Must successfully pass pre‐employment drug screen and background check

  • Ability to frequently work unscheduled overtime hours with minimal notice

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Familiar with all concepts, practices, and procedures of Inventory Control

  • For some functions, must be able to operate forklift and pick items as high as 35 feet in the air

  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete warehouse floors for long periods of time

  • Must be able to squat and kneel often, and lift up to 50 lbs. individually or greater than 50 lbs. in a team lift

  • Must be able to safely use a step ladder or stool to reach area shelves

  • Must be able to safely wear steel‐toed protective footwear in accordance with the OSHA General Industry standard

  • Must be able to safely use a provided box cutter

  • Must be able to move up and down multi‐level stairways safely

  • Must be able to clearly communicate (speak and understand) in English in order to operate voice‐pick technology
