Maintenance Planner

Monday - Friday (7 AM - 4PM)

Sign on Bonus: $1000

OBJECTIVE:

            The main responsibility of the role is the daily planning and scheduling of all maintenance work to support the production requirements of the plant utilizing SAP. Critical to these roles are the development of a strong relationship with the Production, Engineering and Maintenance Teams as well as local contractors and vendors. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Creation and management of the weekly maintenance schedule.
  • Daily review of outstanding work orders and priorities in SAP.
  • Utilize manuals, blueprints and/or electrical schematics to develop maintenance work instructions.
  • Creates job kits to maximize repair effectiveness/efficiency.
  • Manage equipment Bill of Materials in SAP.
  • Manage equipment calibration program.
  • Estimates maintenance labor hours and materials needed to complete work orders.
  • Prioritizes work to be completed in SAP.
  • Prepares requisitions and allocates material to work orders in SAP.
  • Coordinate equipment availability with Production Planning.
  • Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program development and management in SAP.
  • Interface with contractors to support equipment upkeep.
  • Maintenance KPI Reporting (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, & Annually).
  • Uses the SAP PM system and assist in training measures.

EDUCATION: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing maintenance planning activities and/or maintenance & engineering experience.

EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

  • Must have experience working with a CMMS, SAP preferred.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work with all level of employees, departments, customers, and suppliers to accomplish objectives.
  • Must have some experience in making presentations to large and small groups.
  • Must demonstrate effective written communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Prefer strong experience with MS Office applications.
  • Maintenance Planner experience utilizing SAP.
  • Ability to provide clear task assignments to maintenance personnel and create a shared understanding of the project goals.
  • Ability to bring together appropriate contractors, employees, and others to make timely, effective decisions. 
  • Ability to work in a conceptual and theoretical state to support continuous improvement of systems.
  • Willing to provide constructive feedback, provide information clearly and generate solutions.

SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Must be familiar with usage of personal computers, hand tools, machine shop equipment, electronic meters, measurement devices and predictive measuring devices.
