The Procurement Director, Global Products, APAC will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for global products across the Asia Pacific region. This leadership role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure supply chain excellence, cost optimization, risk mitigation, compliance, and supplier relationship management to support the organization’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and implement regional procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with global procurement and business goals.
- Manage sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for direct and indirect purchases.
- Drive supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management with key vendors across the APAC region.
- Lead supplier performance management, including risk assessment, quality assurance, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Collaborate with global and regional supply chain, product development, finance, and legal teams to ensure effective procurement outcomes.
- Analyze market trends, benchmark data, and cost drivers to identify and leverage savings opportunities and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with global procurement policies, ethical standards, and relevant laws and regulations across APAC.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing procurement team within the region.
- Provide regular reporting and analytics to management on procurement KPIs, risks, opportunities, and progress against targets.
- Manage procurement budgets and deliver year-over-year improvement (cost savings, process efficiencies, risk reduction).
- Champion digitalization, sustainability, and innovation in procurement processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in multinational/global organizations.
- Proven procurement experience in APAC markets .
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Deep understanding of supply market trends and regulations across the APAC region.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English; other APAC languages advantageous.
- Willingness to travel regionally and globally as required.
