As Sr. Front End Developer II, you’ll translate design mockups and wireframes into engaging and responsive user interfaces for websites and web-based applications. The ideal candidate will design prototypes, write and test code for new and existing applications, identify new technologies to enhance visual display and usability, support backend integration, and maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the UI. This role requires a deep understanding of front-end technologies, a passion for user experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality interfaces.

What you’ll do:

  • Translate design mockups, wireframes, and prototypes into responsive, functional, and visually appealing code.
  • Design and develop prototypes to test and validate user experiences before full-scale implementation.
  • Write, optimize, and test front-end code for new and existing web-based applications, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end functionality with backend systems.
  • Identify and implement new technologies to improve site usability, interactivity, and visual display capabilities.
  • Maintain graphic standards and branding consistency across all user interfaces.
  • Debug and resolve performance issues, ensuring fast and reliable user experiences.
  • Stay informed about emerging web development trends and best practices, recommending improvements to existing workflows.
  • Create and maintain documentation for front-end code and development processes

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field. (Or relevant experience in leu of degree)
  • An active U.S. Government issued Secret Clearance (or higher) OR the ability to obtain.
  • 7-10 years of experience in front-end development, with a portfolio showcasing responsive and visually dynamic web applications.
  • Proven experience working with designers and backend developers to create cohesive solutions.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Node.js
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and front-end optimization techniques.
  • Experience with UI/UX design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend integration practices
  • Familiarity with Postgres SQL databases.
  • Experience with accessibility standards (508 compliance) and usability best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
