Job Summary

Summer internship role will support the Vistra Wholesale Financial Planning and Analysis team with a focus on supporting key financial deliverables, variance analysis, forecasting and long-range planning, and ad-hoc analytics.

Job Description

• Support financial performance analysis across multiple lines of business and regional markets throughout the country
• Assess financial drivers and drill into variances to plan and prior year to find meaningful business impacts
• Develop standard reporting packages including monthly, quarterly, and long-range planning updates
• Analyze complex business problems requiring constructive thinking and imaginative approaches using data-driven analysis

Hard Skills

• Technical: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SQL (Structured Query Language), SAP
• Generation Wholesale Power Industry Knowledge
• Financial Planning & Analysis including financial modeling and data management

Soft Skills

• Communication: effective written and verbal communication in business environment through interpersonal relationships and development meeting content/materials
• Problem-Solving: identification of issues and ability to address problems
• Teamwork and Collaboration: effective relationship building with peers and employees to problem solve and complete projects

Summer Project

• The internship will include an individual and/or group project (working directly with two other Finance candidates).
