Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The Settlement & Incentives Specialist role is responsible for overseeing the money movement and monthly incentive rebates to internal/external business partners (i.e. Processors, Financial Institutions) and for leading cross-functional process improvement projects within the Payments Network.

Responsible for providing Financial and Operational support to our clients and business partners, on the PULSE Settlement systems. Responsible for completing daily operational controls ensuring our settlement systems balance, participant configuration and maintenance on our core applications, maintaining current control process documentation, problem determination, resolution of imbalances and customer inquiries. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily PULSE System Balancing duties, ensures Settlement balances daily. Reviews and signs off Banking & Financial reconciliations daily, engaging Treasury and Accounting Services team, as required. SME on the Settlement systems, building relationships with existing and potential customers, including Business Partners.
  • Researches and resolves daily Settlement discrepancies, Production issues and customer inquiries, engages Business Partners to help resolve customer needs.
  • Manages the configuration of the participants on the Core Application systems ensuring our participants are boarded on a timely basis and tables maintained accurately.
  • Leads and mentors Settlement team members to provide premier customer service and quality delivery within SLAs. Provides cross training on all team functions to ensure no single point of failure. Oversees team workload and delegate as required.
  • Maintains Process Documentation, effective Business Controls and provides continuous process improvement on the Balancing functions.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Customer Service and Relationships, IT or related
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Customer Service and Relationships, IT or related

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
