The SAP Business Systems Analyst role is responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of solutions within the global SAP Manufacturing and EWM functions.  To perform well in this role, it is critical that the person establish a strong partnership with the business process owners to maintain a clear understanding of priorities and how solutions fit into the business goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure NEB’s Manufacturing and EWM requirements are met during design and implementation of SAP, NEB’s core ERP platform.

  • Provide subject matter expertise for core processes, including production planning, make-to-stock/ make-to-order, product costing, demand forecasts, purchasing, batch management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse management.

  • Participate in Production Governance meetings where business/IT work collaboratively to maintain a clear list of issues/requests, establish priorities, and set realistic expectations.

  • Operate as a solution architect and provide education/guidance to 3rd party consultants.

  • Provide user education for business process design and improvements.

  • Author and approve specification documents.

  • Design test cases and business use case scenarios.

  • Configure software according to business requirements.

  • Coordinate the implementation of best business practices and training within the NEB community.

  • Provide day to day SAP configuration support for Production Planning (PP) and EWM functions.

  • Participate on project teams to support upgrades and assist in continuous improvement efforts.

  • Though this role is primarily centered around SAP, it may be necessary for this individual to understand and participate in non-SAP related efforts.

  • Stay current in related technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS in Information Systems or related field.

  • S4 HANA experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on functional configuration and design experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in blueprinting, as well as unit and regression test design and execution.

  • Good knowledge of manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and warehouse management business processes.

  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate complex technical concepts in terms understandable to internal users.

  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

  • Must be highly motivated, have a great work ethic and enjoy working as part of a team.

  • Must be willing to do some travel and off shift hours as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience maintaining SAP within the life sciences industry strongly preferred.

  • SAP certification and/or course work preferred.

  • Knowledge of SAP Quality functions is a plus.

  • Experience with wireless scanning and automated warehouse technology is a plus.
