Role Definition
Creates, implements and improves engineering designs, processes, techniques, tooling and machinery to meet customer requirements and maximize product quality. 

Responsibility:

  • Component failure analysis and identify root cause using tools and technique

  • Deep dive on BIQ/AQE/2MIS Quality Issues and associated action items

  • Conduct APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, Weibull, Lean or 6 Sigma etc.,

  • Find the root cause of issues from failure events and work with relevant teams to address the issues.

  • Correlate BIQ check point with failure analysis and update BIQ

  • Work with CAT Quality systems (QRQM, RWA, QEAT, PCW, CPI, and cross functional teams

  • Work with manufacturing and quality control team to establish checking methodology

  • Techniques for identifying and addressing the root causes of quality issues.

  • Failure investigations led by data-centric approach and work on detailed individual failure projects.

  • Work with cross functional teams to support quality and management.

  • Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction by process improvisation for other engineering and managerial teams and quality improvement.

  • Planning and improving engineering procedures and operations to make the process more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.

Degree Requirement

B.E. / ME / M.Tech (Mechanical  /Mechatronics/ Automobile / Production)

Skill set:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Exceptional analytical skills.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of best practices in data analysis.

  • Capability to integrate Microsoft Power Platform in quality data and its analysis

Required Tools:

  • Proficiency in Power BI, Advanced Excel, PowerApps, Structured Query Language (SQL) and Snowflake, Dataverse, Power Automate.

  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests.

  • MS Excel, SAS, and SPSS

Relocation is available for this position.
