Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Asia Pacific Pricing Strategy Manager reporting to Director, Software & Control, AP.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyst - You will analyze business data points, correlate them with market/industry pricing information and provide competitive pricing guidance on important programs. Create and Manage Pricing Strategy based on multiple data points provided by the business. Coordinate and Implement Pricing Strategy through collaboration with all the relevant team members within the business. Work with AP Pricing Strategy Leader (direct report) to perform price modeling and profitability analysis of large strategic opportunities.
  • Strategist - You will create and manage pricing strategy for key initiatives and portfolio building. Involvement in new major product introduction pricing activities. Ensure great price levels are set for Asia Pacific to achieve business strategy and objectives. Provide feedback to GRM team to create and edit business rules for DGS. Execute legacy product price actions to help drive conversion and targeted price realisation (Active mature/EOL/Disc). Provide in-depth analysis and feedback on market competition and customer-driven market trend relative to price position.
  • Innovator - You will discover, test, create and manage creative pricing ideas. Challenge our current pricing and profitability practices and create a step change impact in our growth and share in emerging markets. Managing ongoing programs. Create and Manage Commercial Programs and New Product Introductions from a pricing perspective.
  • Consultant - You will provide Asia Pacific relevant feedback and support for the following: GRM team APA activity, Concessions, WIN Strategy call guidance, PGC consolidations.
  • Functional - You will work with the global team, pricing and marketing; build product launch plans including target industry/segment focus, understanding PAM contribution, price strategies, competency, value message localization, etc.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Portfolio knowledge

  • Understanding of Rockwell portfolio and architectures, value proposition and difference by product line.
  • Industrial automation sales or product/business management experience.
  • At least 5+ years of experience performing architecture reviews and optimizing BOMs.
     

Pricing proficiency. Negotiation & influence skills.

  • A solid grasp of industrial automation market dynamics.
  • Understanding of Rockwell's pricing practices.
  • Experience working and negotiating across cultures in Asia.
  • Experience communicating with and managing stakeholders at different levels.
  • Partner with tea members to launch programs across the regions, internally & externally.
  • Able to drive alignment with multiple stakeholders.
     

Management

  • Ability to balance speed and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage & prioritize tasks.
  • People management experience
     

Financial acumen

  • Experience with financial analysis and modelling.
  • Experience performing profitability analysis
