About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and strategic Director of Brand Marketing and Communications to shape the direction of and amplify the ResortPass brand as we grow rapidly. As a key leader on the marketing team and working closely with the CEO, you’ll be responsible for external and internal comms, thought leadership, core brand and messaging strategy, and campaign development. Your role will span both building out our consumer brand and comms strategy as well as our B2B and executive thought leadership. You'll partner with every part of the business —marketing, product, sales, account management, CX— as well as our hotel partners to evangelize what makes ResortPass so groundbreaking for both consumers and hotels alike. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of brand-building and leading a successful comms strategy at multiple high-growth, fast-paced startups, and is excited about the prospect of defining an entirely new category in a fun and disruptive space.
We are looking for someone who is located in or near the NYC area, as this role will be in person at our NYC headquarters. The base salary for this role will range from $150,000 - $180,000 per year, plus equity, commensurate with experience.
What you'll do
- Provide the leadership, strategy and vision to develop a comprehensive communications strategy for both internal and external audiences to elevate ResortPass’ brand position and awareness
- Shape the core brand identity and messaging strategy, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
- Lead all facets of communications including consumer and B2B.
- Codify key thought leadership topics and execute a roadmap to build ResortPass’ credibility.
- Own and develop a strategy for executive thought leadership that elevates the company and CEO’s profile.
- Directly manage the relationship with our PR firm to secure regular, high impact earned media.
- Drive campaign development across various channels to help ResortPass increase cultural relevance, awareness, and overall conversion with both consumers and B2B audiences.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform brand strategy and maintain our first-mover position in the market.
- Be a steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring all channels and departments are working toward the same brand vision and brand personality comes across in everything we do.
- Lead consumer research and messaging development, creating a constant stream of insights to iterate on how we talk to consumers and evolve the brand.
- Write and develop key messaging and marketing copy for high visibility marketing channels and campaigns.
- Support on influencer, brand partnership, organic social and other brand channel initiatives as needed.

- A minimum of 10 years experience in communications and/or brand roles, with at least several spent in a startup environment and in a leadership position.
