About the Role:

As Executive Director - Consulting, you will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships within the Americas region. You will develop, quote, lead and conduct bespoke research consulting projects with Chemical Market Analytics clients related to multiple products including olefins, plastics, aromatics, inorganics, syngas, feedstocks, and energy. The role is based in our Houston office and will require regular collaboration with our global team. You will report into the Vice President - Americas Bespoke Research and Consulting. 

You Will:

  • Develop scope, proposals, cost estimates, and bids for potential consulting projects; negotiate with potential clients to win bid acceptance
  • Act on incoming client requests that fall outside or in addition to normal Chemical Market Analytics Market Advisory and World Analysis subscription services
  • Manage and deliver on approved projects, using both internal & external subject matter experts and supporting analysts
  • Manage internal multi-client study preparations
  • Mentor junior analysts and mid-level researchers
  • Work with sales, business development, and all base chemical product managers to meet overall business revenue targets
  • Work with global industry organizations and attend/speak at conferences that help build and nourish relationships with important industry contacts

You Have:

  • At least 15 years’ experience in chemical and/or  energy industry consulting and consulting team management including experience in plant operations, commercial activities, data analysis, and  financial analysis
  • Broad knowledge of the chemical & energy industries and a comprehensive understanding of regional differences related to chemical & energy markets
  • Extensive experience coordinating resources including internal & external subject matter experts 
  • Track record for writing, negotiating, and performing detailed consulting agreements
  • Extensive experience writing, speaking, and presenting to audiences of all levels
  • No restrictions that will prevent you from traveling domestically and internationally 25% to 35% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or technical discipline

Pay Range: $195,000 - $240,000
