Job Summary

As a Led SDET will be responsible for driving quality across multiple squads, defining and implementing testing strategies, and mentoring team members. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong foundation in software testing, automation, and data technologies, coupled with the ability to lead and influence quality direction.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Proven experience in defining, implementing, and driving adoption of comprehensive testing strategies across multiple teams;
  
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, etc.) to ensure quality is integrated throughout the SDLC;
  
• Mentor and guide other SDETs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices;
  
• Demonstrated experience in shifting testing left and promoting early quality interventions;
  
• Champion the use of appropriate testing methodologies, including BDD, TDD, and performance testing.

Essential Skills

• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, including Star Schema design and ETL/ELT processes;
  
• Strong SQL proficiency (SQL Server & Oracle);
  
• Extensive experience in automation framework design and implementation using Python and Pytest;
  
• Deep understanding of core testing concepts, including test case management, defect management, and using Gherkin for BDD;
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and related services.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Data Transformation: Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool);
  
• Big Data: Experience with Databricks;
  
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform;
  
• Experience with Azure DevOps;
  
• Experience in the Insurance industry.
