Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and workflows to streamline and automate business processes within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications and solutions to meet business requirements, including creating workflows, forms, scripts, and integrations.
- Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure ServiceNow instances, including setting up roles, access controls, data sources, and system properties to align with organizational needs.
- Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other systems, such as databases, web services, and third-party applications, to enable data exchange and process automation.
- Scripting and Automation: Write and maintain scripts using ServiceNow's scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Glide Record, and ACLs) to automate processes, enhance functionality, and improve system performance.
- Testing and Deployment: Perform thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions. Coordinate and execute deployment activities.
- Documentation: Document ServiceNow applications, configurations, and processes to ensure proper knowledge transfer and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in ServiceNow applications and instances, providing timely support to end-users.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow best practices, new features, and industry trends, and contribute to the continuous improvement of ServiceNow implementations and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 1 year of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide Record, ACLs), workflow design, and application development.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations, web services, and data sources.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer) are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
