The Software Developer, Warehouse Management Systems, is responsible for the development and support of applications utilized in McKesson distribution centers. The Distribution Technologies team provides expertise in optimizing application performance and the development of enhancements that will improve productivity and customer experience. We are looking for an experienced developer that is familiar with Tier 1 Warehouse Management Systems, and the integrations of this application into various levels of automation systems within warehouses.

This is a key position that will interface with many internal customers, internal groups, vendors, and others. This person will work in a team environment on various projects and initiatives. The position requires someone who is technology savvy, has a demonstrated willingness to learn, and has a demonstrated capacity to retain information and knowledge. Attention to detail, and the ability to create, document, and follow processes are essential. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills who can work with people at various levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with other IT organizations to create solutions which will increase productivity

  • Understand existing business processes and how to develop solutions within our applications that align with business expectations

  • Develop and maintain key partnerships across McKesson Technology

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to leverage data to drive innovation

  • Conduct data mining activities and ability to identity usage trends

  • Interface directly with business partners and automation vendors to gather requirements and figure out solutions to meet business needs

  • Creation of process documentation.

  • Be a change leader in the way of process improvement.

  • Working with management and business partners to identify, estimate and prioritize solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Typically requires 7+ years of relative experience.

  • Advanced .Net (C# and VB) programming skills, ASP.NET MVC

  • Intermediate/advanced experience in Windows Client/Server environments

  • Advanced ASP Classic, JavaScript, VB Script or equivalent scripting technologies

  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Office 365 & Microsoft Teams

Additional Knowledge & Skills (Preferred):

  • Proven experience supporting & troubleshooting complex systems

  • Technical experience with a Tier 1 Warehouse Management application in an Azure cloud environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to work with internal customers and vendors to prioritize issues & communicate status

  • Self-starter, capable of seeing projects/fixes through to completion

  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple deliverables

  • Effective analytical, business analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize/communicate conflicting demands

Education:

  • 4-year degree (in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field) or equivalent experience

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$120,600 - $201,000
