Summary/Objective
The FSQ Production Associate ensures that HelloFresh food safety and quality standards are met and that every meal kit sent to a customer is food safe and in excellent quality. This is achieved through the requirements listed below.

Available Shifts: 

Saturday to Tuesday - 7:00AM to 5:30PM
Friday to Monday - 7:30AM to 6:00PM 
Friday to Monday - 6:30PM to 5:00AM 

You will: 

  • Complete required food safety training, audits, and documentation. This includes taking temperatures of sensitive product, verifying expiration dates, and conducting sanitation swabs, among others.  
  • Enforce and follow all safety, GMP, allergen control, food defense, PPE, hygiene policy  and SQF policies and procedures. 
  • Report Food Safety and Quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Audit & record results of selected products & processes through the production process, including completed kits, completed boxes, and line setup, among others. 
  • Upon discovering an error, you will flag down a member of leadership, share the error, and support the corrective action.  As needed for major non conformances, you will shut down the production line until the error can be corrected. 
  • Gather, count, record, and submit discarded product from the production floor.  As appropriate, assess ingredients for recoverability and return them to production or warehouse, etc.
  • Coach all employees to follow HelloFresh policies and procedures
  • Support the sanitation team and cross train with the sanitation supervisor to learn chemical usage
  • Perform ATP swabs if required by the department and should have working knowledge of environmental monitoring program
  • Respectfully support and follow direction from lead or supervisor or management and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Performs routine CCP verifications and instrument calibrations (scales/thermometer) to ensure instrument functions properly
  • Aids in non-conformance identifications and CAPA analysis
  • In the event of absence, it is associate’s responsibility to communicate the essential tasks that need to be completed in his/her absence

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must complete FSQ training (to be launched in 2024) upon onboarding
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be willing and able to work entire schedule as we cannot accommodate partial shifts or early/late arrivals.
  • Must be able to count and have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions).
  • Must have basic computer & tablet skills, i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Sheets

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a manufacturing and assembly environment and is regularly exposed to cool and/or cold temperatures (10º - 40º). The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, reach and lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and/or tools. The employee is required to talk or hear with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. One year of related experience preferred.
