The Academic Program Services Consultant (APSC) will be responsible for coordination of course scheduling, course sharing, and curriculum planning across The Ohio State University’s regional campuses: Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark. This role will strengthen academic planning by shifting course scheduling from a reactive, tradition-based process to a proactive, data-informed function aligned with enrollment demand, curricular priorities, fiscal responsibility, and student support needs.
Key responsibilities include analyzing enrollment patterns within and across regional campuses to forecast demand and inform decisions about session length, and cross-campus offerings; connecting curriculum planning to enrollment viability (including recommendations related to General Education designation, course rotation, course modality, or the modification or removal of persistently low enrolling courses); and establishing a consistent feedback loop with advising to surface recurring scheduling issues and improve the student experience. The APSC will also optimize academic workflows by building and maintaining a centralized information hub that links enrollment data to fiscal, hiring, and scheduling decisions—reducing email-based siloing, preventing errors, and improving the effective use of instructional resources.
