As part of the SCADA Support team this position is primarily responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, data integrity, and security for the Gas Distribution SCADA applications used by Gas Controllers.

Note: This is a temporary full-time assignment until October 2025 subject to extension as the need arises.

What you will do:
SCADA System Support:
The SCADA system comprises of the SCADA Application, operating system, SCADA communications, critical infrastructure, interfaces, remote devices, and hardware platform.
Duties are to provide support in maintaining a reliable, available, and stable SCADA system and providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting and break-fix support when required.
Supporting development, implementation, and leading preventative maintenance practices for operating system and hardware health.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, security, and reliability of the SCADA system.
Craft new and modify existing SCADA displays and reports, keeping with industry standard methodologies for control room management.
Configure and commission data points for new and existing facilities.
Perform break-fix and troubleshooting of SCADA applications and its related infrastructure including business interfaces, remote devices, SCADA network and hardware platforms.
Assess application deficiencies and evaluate vendor provided or 3rd party provided solutions via new components, upgrades, or patches.
Ensure compliance with Enbridge cybersecurity policies through timely patching, access management, hardening practices, and actively participate in disaster recovery.
Project Domain Authority:
Participate in Expansion and Maintenance Capital projects for all SCADA related projects.
Assist the project team with the building, testing and deployment of SCADA solutions.
Uphold Management of Change practices pertaining to changes to the equipment and software.
Support the completion of assigned capital projects through display builds and/or system configurations, and commissioning SCADA application changes following standard operating practices.
Who you are:
You have:
Minimum 6+ years of directly related work experience within a pipeline environment along with an undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/ Automation/Instrumentation Technology, or related subject area.
Working knowledge of SCADA IT infrastructure including network, workstations and servers in addition to a solid understanding of RTU, PLC and End Devices communication protocols.
A valid driver’s license that will be verified upon hire.
You can:
Show working knowledge of the SCADA application, Weatherford CygNet and Autosol ACM.
Develop and maintain relationships while also being analytical with excellent troubleshooting skills.
You are:
An excellent technical writer and verbal communicator who is analytical and skilled in problem solving including root cause analysis.
Flexible and adaptable to change while exhibiting strong time management and multi tasking skills in a fast paced environment.
Proficient with the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook while also having experience working with VM ware tools and virtual environments.
Previous project experience delivering SCADA, HMI and other ICS solutions.
The following are considered assets:
Strong network administration skills.
Working knowledge of Autosol ACM Polling Engine and Service Now.
Familiarity with OPC, MODBUS, and BSAP telemetry protocols.
Proficiency in database administration.
Working Conditions:
Work performed in typical office environment with 25% travel within the Operations Region
Must participate in after hours on-call rotation
Work independently and/or in a team setting on a variety of projects with minimal supervision
