The opportunity

In support of our mission, "Decisions made easy, Lives made better," we are hiring for the role of Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics in our Hong Kong & Macau office.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Data Analysis and Modeling: Lead the development and implementation of predictive models, risk assessments, and other advanced analytical solutions to support underwriting, claims, and fraud detection processes.

  • Data Strategy and Governance: Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations. Develop and maintain best practices for data management and governance.

  • Business Insights and Decision Support: Translate complex data findings into actionable business insights for stakeholders. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve business performance, optimize processes, and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, marketing, and operations, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

What we are looking for

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data science or a related field, with a focus on the insurance industry or a similar regulated environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).

  • Educational Background: Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
