Job Summary

We are seeking a senior ‑level CNC machinist who can own the full machining process—from offline CAM programming, to custom fixture/jig design and build using solidworks and GibbsCam, through first‑article validation to repeatable production. 

Job Description

**This is second shift role. Hours are 1:30pm - 3:30am**

Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Langley, Fort Langley, Abbottsford, Maple Ridge, White Rock, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Vancouver, Mission, Port Moody  locations are ideal for the commute to be onsite to this location.

You’ll work primarily on 3‑ and 4‑axis milling centers, 7 axis Lathe with live tooling and sub spindle in a high‑mix, precision environment. Experience with HAAS control is required. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 Programming & Process Development 

  • Independently create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3&4 Axis Mill and 7 Axis Lathe using GibbsCAM . 

  • Establish efficient machining process and tool libraries. 

  • Perform First article validation. 

 

Fixture / Workholding Design & Build 

  • Design using SolidWorks, fabricate, and validate custom fixtures and jigs. 

 

Setup, Operation & Quality 

  • Perform setup and operation of CNC Mill & Lathe, verify references, and complete inspections. 

  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T. 

 

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration 

  • Lead process improvement initiatives and partner with Engineering/Quality. 

Required Qualifications

• Red Seal Machinist certification (required)
• 10+ years combined CNC machining and programming experience
• Experience with HAAS controls
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and GibbsCAM
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, models, and technical documents
• Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
• Effective time management and attention to detail
• Strong safety mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Fixture design experience
• Background in low-volume / high-mix machining
• Familiarity with Lean / 5S
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Machinist (CNC highly preferred)

Job Compensation

$95K - $105K
