Your Opportunity as the Manager, Finance Shared Services
Own the monthly close process, strengthen reporting and analysis, and ensure compliance with GAAP and Company accounting policies — while partnering closely with the business to bring clarity and insight to financial results. You’ll support a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in cross‑functional initiatives that shape how the company operates and grows. Location: Orrville, OH
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 40% in office expectation or more depending on business need
In this role you will:
Be responsible for monthly financial close and implement enhancements to reporting and analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies through appropriate internal control reviews and procedures.
Review and approve journal entries prepared by staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial closing process.
Review and approve account reconciliations in accordance with required deadlines and ensure appropriate level of documentation to support through internal and external audits.
Support an SBA-centric model, providing increased visibility to the SBA Finance team on both Balance Sheet accruals and P&L impact on a monthly and quarterly basis while also increasing the understanding of the P&L and overall business drivers.
Review and approve allocation drivers to ensure completeness and accuracy to the General Ledger.
Review and provide input on corporate accounting policies, ensuring compliance.
Provide support to the organization for cross-functional projects (M&A, divestitures, system implementations, etc.).
Be able to maintain a continuous improvement mindset and deliver process enhancements over time.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and develop inter-personal relationships with Sales Finance and Marketing Finance.
What we are looking for:
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including extensive understanding of accounting policies and guidelines established by management
Ability to manage and develop staff
Ability to influence and drive change down, up, and across the organization
Effective time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Experience in financial systems (Ex: Oracle Cloud GL, Spotfire, and SmartView)
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
MBA or CPA or CMA
Experience managing projects
