Job Description

Mission: Guide and coordinate the team handling settlement and billing duties, supervising and adapting its processes according to regulatory changes, new market and customer engagement changes, with the aim of increasing the volumes and sales, efficiently and ensuring these are up-to-date from a technical and regulatory point of view.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, manage and optimise the team and the electricity market operation, settlement and invoicing processes. Implement adaptations and improvements in these processes to optimise the value of energy and for invoicing energy, in compliance with the regulatory changes and types of contracts, minimising incidents, regularisations and collection periods.
• Design the Department’s operation procedures and its limits for the exchange of information with other departments.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise the tasks and duties of the operation team for market, settlement and invoicing tasks.
• Design and plan the operational procedures and market rules, scheduling its compliance and the adaptation to changes, by means of planning and supervising the changes in procedures and systems.
• Drive functional changes in operational systems and for the settlement of energy purchase/sale transactions and supervise its development and the corresponding tests.
• Supervise the operational result and energy settlement monitoring, control and reporting tasks.
• Supervise and coordinate the incident resolution processes.
• Provide the Department’s managers with the suitable reports and monitor the energy trading processes and results.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degrees-Certificates/Training: University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Further training: Master´s degree in Energy Management, or electrical markets, and/or team management training.
  • Profile: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Analytical mindset with focus on performance monitoring and optimization. Strong communication and reporting skills in English (both written and spoken). Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
  • Languages/Level: English, High level (C1)
  • Years/Areas of experience: 6-10 years of experience in the duties included in the job description (proven track record in managing large-scale renewable energy projects and plant performance; experience in supervising technical teams, contractors, and service providers; strong background in managing team of employees)
