Job Title: Client Care Assistant (Veterinary Receptionist)
Location: Blythwood Vets, Supporting across all four practices.

Salary: £14,991 per annum

Job type: Permanent, Part-time

Hours: 24 Hours Per Week. 8 Hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 and 19:30.


An exciting opportunity has opened at Blythwood Vets for an experienced and enthusiastic Client Care assistant to join our fantastic front-of-house team!

The role involves direct interaction with clients at our reception desk and encompasses all aspects of client care support.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Welcoming and registering new customers.

  • Booking in customers and making sure they receive gold standard care

  • Answering the telephone and dealing with a range of customer queries

  • Managing customer expectations regarding wait time.

  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.

  • Taking payments

  • Promoting offers and services

  • Remaining calm, courteous and professional at all times, regardless of a client or visitor’s behaviour.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with the public in person and by telephone.

  • Experience of working within the Veterinary industry.

  • Flexibility to cover all four Blythwood veterinary practices.

  • Good telephone manner 

  • The ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues, face to face, telephone and email. 

  • PC literate with Excel and Word 

  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills 

  • Able to adapt and quickly use in-house computer applications and software (training will be provided)
