The MSL is a medical professional with strong scientific and therapeutic area expertise with an essential field-role focused on developing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts, key opinion leaders and key stakeholders. MSLs engage in in-depth medical and scientific product or disease area discussions, and presentations in a non-promotional scientific context.

The MSL will primarily support the company’s Specialty Franchise collaborating with a cross-functional team to transform the therapeutic context of interest.

Your responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the therapeutic area of interest (e.g. oncology, hematology).

• Identify and engage the external community appropriately in robust scientific dialogue that generates insight and advances scientific and medical understanding.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the access strategy.

• Support clinical development initiatives, including site identification, trial recruitment, registry, and follow-up activities across the continuum (investigator sponsored studies, collaborative sponsored studies, GSK sponsored studies).

• Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operation procedures, and industry practice. Adhere to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures.

• Adhere to all GSK policies and procedures as applicable for MSL and Medical Affairs Organization.

• Support safe and appropriate use of research compounds and products

• Serve as a scientific, clinical, and medical content expert.

• Partner within all areas of Medical Affairs (e.g. Medical Directors, Medical Communications, Medical

Information, Publications, Advocacy, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Value, Evidence and

Outcomes).

• Establish and maintain a compliant, supportive partnership with Sales team and other counterparts within the Commercial organization.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Based in Guadalajara or Monterrey
  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine with proven experience in the oncology or hematology field.
  • 2-3 years in the position (MSL) and therapeutic area (oncology, hematology).
  • English level: advanced.
  • Demonstrable knowledge on the Private and Public Healthcare Systems, including guidelines and ways of working of private insurance companies, healthcare organizations, general health council and local regulatory agency.
  • Work within matrix teams and have a strong ability to influence and align the team and strategy to seize the opportunities identified with external organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel (% varies with geographic responsibility).

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Medical specialization in the therapeutic area is desirable (e.g. oncology, hematology).
