Functional Responsibilities

• Manage the fixed income, derivatives, and FX swap portfolios by initiating strategic positions and pricing products to capitalize on market movements while meeting bank-wide liquidity requirements.
• Achieve all budgeted profit targets and financial KPIs set by Global Markets management through active trading and disciplined risk management across interest rate and currency desks.
• Provide comprehensive pricing support to the sales team for derivative products, FX swaps, and Foreign Currency (FCY) deposits to facilitate client transactions and business growth.
• Execute hedges for the banking book and oversee the maintenance of FCY nostro accounts to ensure optimal liquidity management and the mitigation of interest rate and currency risks.
• Lead the development of new treasury products and act as a subject matter expert for other bank divisions regarding inquiries on interest rate products and foreign currency funding issues.
• Ensure the orderly daily operation of the desk while strictly adhering to internal risk limits and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory requirements to maintain high compliance standards.
