Job Summary
- This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Data Management (PDM) Operations within Supply Chain Planning.
- This role is responsible for providing leadership oversight and management of the Personal Systems PDM Operations team comprised of product configuration managers, specialists, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business administrators, that drive and deliver organizational efficiency, processes optimization, product configuration, master data management, innovation and growth in support of HP's PS products.
- This role works closely with cross-functional teams and leaders in HP's PS Global Business Units (GBU) and Category Operations, central services functions, such as IT, HR, Supply Chain PLM COE, Supply Chain Planning leaders, and other to ensure the PDM Operations team meets the needs of the business and receives the necessary support.
- This role ensures that PS PDM related product escalations are staffed and managed to support the business, and coordinates with the PDM Operations Escalation Management function.
- Process and Tool Improvements: Identifies opportunities to streamline data management processes, improve data accuracy, increase usability of business intelligence reports and tools to raise productivity, increase quality, and reduce overhead.
- Product Data Governance: Coordinate with PDM Operations leadership team in the development and implementation of Product data governance policies and procedures to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team and ensure they adhere to best practices and meet departmental objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an organization of individual contributors.
- Manages and directly contributes to projects involving BOM, PDM Operations and internal efficiencies.
- Translates functional plans into operations processes and guides execution.
- Collaborates with GBU stakeholders to define requirements and architect solutions that meet business goals and technical constraints.
- Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
- Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
- Engages with project/program managers, cross functional GBU Teams, to communicate platform/project status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
- Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including, hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
- Drives and fosters teams performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team members and process development.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.
