    Job Summary 
    The Expense Management Director will be primarily responsible for budgeting, reviewing, and analyzing all expenditures across the Life and Annuity entities and other companies within the organization.

    Main Accountabilities
    •    Develop, present and oversee financial budgets, with cost center managers, for all Life and Annuity entities 
    •    Ensure all budgets and financial processes align with company goals
    •    Collaborate with senior management, project managers, and cross-departmental leadership to set budget goals and ensure that they are followed
    •    Evaluate budget proposals and financial requests for viability
    •    Forecast financial needs during year
    •    Analyze actual expenses compared to budget and provide reporting to cost center managers and senior management
    •    Work closely with the FP&A team on monthly results
    •    Review cost allocations and ensure compliance with intercompany agreements
    •    Coordinate the continued development and monthly/quarterly reporting of expense metrics and KPI’s for L&A entities.
    •    Oversee the monthly expense close and actual reporting
    •    Implement Adaptive Planning tool for use in 2025
    •    Ad hoc projects as assigned
     

    Qualifications
    •    7+ years financial experience including budgeting and analysis
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
    •    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
    •    Strong communication skills and deadline oriented
    •    Ability to foster working relationships throughout the organization at all levels required
    •    Workday and Adaptive planning experience preferred
    •    Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel for financial forecasting, and reporting tools to assist in preparing analysis.
