The hourly pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location.

Who We're Looking For:

Our Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician would be a role model for the team and lead by example. The position's duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Following protocols set forth by the Practice Manager and Medical Director
  • Medication inventory
  • Technician Appointments and patient assessment
  • Anesthesia monitoring following AAHA guidelines and documentation
  • Surgical prep and assisting
  • Dentistry
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory work (In-House and Prep for IDEXX)
  • Venipuncture
  • Catheter placement
  • Pharmacy (Online and In-House)
  • Patient recovery
  • Monitoring of hospitalized animals
  • Training of new support staff on patient handling skills (FearFree) and outlining the training curriculum
  • Assist the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and Medical Director in implementing protocols when necessary
  • Organizing the flow of the schedule by conducting Huddles with the team and triaging the schedule

Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods
  • Can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds
  • Active Veterinary Technician License in Washington State
  • Great Customer Service Experience/Skills
  • Experience with Avimark (preferred)
  • Experience in a Leadership Role (preferred)
  • FearFree Certified (preferred)
  • High School Diploma
  • Reliable transportation

Schedule: Full-time - Four x 10-hour shifts Tuesday to Friday, NO HOLIDAYS OR WEEKENDS!
